Dickey`s Barbecue Pit in Plano

How do you promote 3 dollar pork sandwich’s on the internet and social media but then you guys are “sold out” but you can still order a pork sandwich but just not at that price. This is what i call false advertisement.

So dry...like the desert. Pay the extra $5lb and go to Hard 8 or Hutchins

Was pretty good

Food was really good. I recommend the Beef Brisket Classic Sandwich. The brisket is always tender and has good flavor at this location. I get the Mac n cheese side. It's the perfect combo for me. The atmosphere inside is clean and what you'd expect, rustic. They do great for parties/catering too.

Ordered the "MVP" sandwich for delivery. Order was wrong, and the sandwich was horrible. Literally 4 small pieces of dried meat on a bun and a cheese slice thrown on it. Very disappointed.

Order sausage sandwich to go. Got home and found I had a ham sandwich. This is not the first time they've goofed up the order. Hate ham! Not only do you have to count the number of items you've ordered ... you now have to open up the sandwiches to make sure you've got the right sandwich.

Wow! We went slightly outside of lunch hours so we thought well maybe some of the food would be stale. But we were wrong it was moist and Juicy and Delicious and flavorful we just loved it! Would highly recommend Dickey's as a whole because we've always been pretty satisfied but this particular one was very very good and they were very nice.

Good BBQ but an overwhelming menu board. Once you've been there a few times it probably isn't a problem. Nice variety of side dishes that all looked nice and fresh. Sauce has just the right amount of tang and not too sweet. Helpful staff and clean surroundings.

*Update* the staff let me come back and get a new plate, which I appreciate. Food is always good here, but this last time I couldn’t eat my food. I specifically asked for no bread as I am gluten intolerant, but they gave me bread on top of my meat, making it risky for me. Also, I double checked with the staff when I picked up my order to make sure the sides I’d ordered were gluten-free. They said one wasn’t and suggested mac and cheese to replace it...they may need some training on what gluten is and how to read the instructions left on to-go orders.

Ordered a couple of 2-meat plates for takeout. Unlike the Coit location, there was a good amount of meat. However, the brisket was very dry - sausage for very good though.

I had dinner with a friend and we both had the sliced brisket, and it was delicious, and mostly meat. I then got an order to go, and when I got it home if had large chunks of fat and gristle, and the meat was more heavily marbled. So, definitely check your to go order before you leave.

One of my go-to spots to grab something to eat. fantastic location, clean, and great service. Very good job!

The sausage and rib combo with sides of bbq beans and coleslaw was delicious. Atmosphere was great along with great service.

Everything was great, smoky sausage, tender pulled pork, waffle fries, baked potato casserole, good ole southern sweet tea, and free ice cream! This was better than other locations I have visited in the past.

I had a not so great experience last week with my food but I called and spoke with Alex and he was gracious and kind about it. He made it right and that's all you can ask for after a negative experience! Too many other restaurants do not care about the customers but this Dickey's proved to me that they do. I will keep going back!

Decent BBQ, kinda pricey

I was craving a HUGE baked potato and they did not disappoint. The sweet tea had too much sugar, but that was the only issue we had. Delicious potato and amazing brisket!!

Always good barbecue and the holiday cajun fried turkey is a must!

This is not real barbecue. It's just baked meat with barbecue on the side. The meat itself has no seasoning, the meat is not smoked and the texture is too loose. I could make better brisket in the microwave. Oh, and they serve you raw onions instead of grilling them.

Good BBQ for the price. This is not the caliber of a Hutchins BBQ but then they don't charge as much either. Friendly staff. Fairly clean. Busy for lunch. Less crowded for dinner.

I think prices when buying per pound are tooooo High $$$. Remember you buy at bulk or wholesale prices...

Even though the prices were a bit high for one plate, the food was very good.

Great barbecue and a Dallas tradition! Try the Frito Pie with brisket! The self serve ice cream is always a hit!

I had lunch with a friend at the Dickey's in Plano. We both had the lunch special which included either a chicken or pulled pork sandwich with one side item & a drink. I had the pulled pork sandwich with bbq sauce, mustard potato salad & lemonade. The sandwich was very tasty & the lemonade was very refreshing. I was a bit disappointed with the potato salad. The potatoes were too mashed up, so it tasted kind of mushy plus it had too much mustard. I probably wouldn't choose this side option again. But their service was very good.

Placed a delivery order for first time eating from here. I understand it’s a chain and there’s always gonna be caveats with that but boy was this food BLAND! Blandest chicken, ribs, and brisket I’ve ever had. If it wasn’t for the BBQ sauce I wouldn’t have eaten any of the meat but I could only eat half of the meat portion. Will never come back here, order from here, or even recommend this place. Waste of money for such a disappointing meal.

Great place for a quick bbq bite! First few bites of the brisket were a bit dry but not too bad. Nice, friendly staff and quick service. Overall good place for a quick lunch!

The food tastes better here than most Dickey's

The chopped beef sandwich was a bit dry but it was still good. The peach cobbler is delicious!
